Rockwell WW1X’s ham radio journey began in 2006, when he got his Technician license to help report severe weather while storm chasing in the Great Plains. His love of the hobby quickly spread from there, with interests including Summits On The Air, satellite operations, contesting, and, most recently, remote station operation.
He holds an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, where he worked with the Microwave Remote Sensing Laboratory (MIRSL) to deploy and process data for a 35 GHz interferometric radar for geophysical applications.
Rockwell now develops RemoteHamRadio full-time, working every day to improve its cutting-edge experience.
